Important Rule for New Members
At TMAC we pride ourselves on safety and consider it to be of paramount importance. Whilst the club has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere and we want flying to be fun and safe, therefore we have some basic rules, which are adhered to.
One is that we adopt our own Club Flight Test to ensure that all new members are fully aware of our flying site rules and can demonstrate that they are safe and competent to fly solo.

-
Anyone holding a BMFA "A" or 'B' certificate will be expected to take at least one successful flight test with one of our BMFA registered instructors, before being allowed to fly solo at our club.
-
Anyone without either an 'A' or 'B' will be expected to take THREE successful flight tests (on separate days) to prove that they are competent to fly solo.
Up to achievement of successful flight tests, buddy box and/or TMAC member supervision is required, dependant on competency of pilot (as determined by a club examiner).

These flight tests are very simple (far easier than the BMFA 'A' test) and consist of a take-off, rectangular circuits in both directions and a landing!
We just want to confirm our club rules are understood by you, and then see that you are safe and fully in control of your model type at all times.
Once you have completed the above to the satisfaction of our approved club examiner, you will receive a Club Certificate.
